Funding types:

We are a private practice that is committed to make Speech Pathology Services accessible for those in need. We are also aware that the local community services waitlist is long. We are able to offer our services straight away while you are on the waitlist. Additionally, if you are accessing community health speech pathology services, we will support you in the midst of your therapy block breaks to help you maintain the continuity of intervention.

You may be eligible for funding to assist with reducing out of pocket speech pathology costs. Here we outline the key funding sources that our clients most commonly access.

01

Doctor Office

Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM)

This is a GP managed plan that provides a Medicare rebate for allied health services. If you or your child present a condition with a minimum of six months, requiring speech services, you may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM).

HOW TO GET:

1. Visit your GP for a consult

2. Get your GP to fill in this form and your GP will decide if you will be eligible for this service.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL GET REBATED:

A maximum of 5 total rebates per calendar year for all allied health services. e.g If you are see a speech pathologist and an occupational therapist. You are still entitled to 5 rebates for both services combined, not 5 rebates for each health professional.

HOW OFTEN CAN I USE MY CDM:

ANYTIME. Some of our clients use it towards the end of the year to get 5 sessions rebated, so that they can re-apply in January for another block of 5 Medicare rebates  as rebates are issued once per calendar year. This will create a 10-week block of speech therapy for the child.

My GP has referred my child to your clinic. Help!:
1. Provide us with your referral form.

2. Clinician will send a letter to your GP along with your child's assessment results and plan of intervention.

3.You will be eligible to claim your 5 rebated sessions per calendar-year, provided that your GP has registered your plan through Medicare.

4. After 5 sessions, we will notify your GP you have used up your rebates.

My health fund says you’re not registered?
All our speech pathologists are registered as providers for health fund rebates with Australian health funds.
